Noticeably absent from the first round of the Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour (FWT) this past weekend was Ocala Gran Prix (OGP) Owner Jorge Arellano.
When it was announced in mid-December that Bondurant SuperKarts General Manager and Chief Instructor Alan Rudolph would contend the Formula Kart Productions Florida Winter Tour (FWT), he was an instant favorite.
As a member of Team Canada at the 2012 Rotax Grand Finals, Canadian pilot Parker Thompson travelled to the Sunshine State to compete in the annual Florida Winter Tour.
Heading to the Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR), Ocala Gran Prix was determined to rebound from last year's disappointing Florida Winter Tour.
For the second consecutive week, DeFrancesco Racing was again at the fast paced Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR).

Very few drivers are capable of looking behind them while driving without following it up with a terrible mistake that costs them three or four places.

Does this seem familiar to you . . . you reach the turn-in point of the corner, turn the wheel, and the kart seems to abruptly go into oversteer.
There are loads of drivers who can put together quick laps and make passing moves no problem….but they get such bad starts that the race is already ruined before the end of the first lap.
