Pricing / General Event Information

Entry fees for the Gearup Challenge

$65.00 per class. Includes pit pass.

$15.00 Pit pass

$10.00 Spectator


All new Season Pass option for 2012

VIP five race season pass will be $400.00 to include a Special Edition Gearup Challenge racing jacket.  Also incuded will be five pit passes for team members and reserved parking for all events. Promotional items will be first come first serve and VIP pass will reserve these items. Also includes idendification pass for easy entry to events.

Pre-registration and all detailed event info will be made available on gearupchallenge.com ( 1/21/12, kartingconnect.com or by mail.


General Event Information

Four out of five events will be counted towards year end points.

Qualifying will be as per AMB transponders at all events in case of a malfuntion out of our control we will utilize onboard qualifying.

The final race format of the year will be decided by popularity of all four previous events. Format will be decided thirty days prior to final event.

Gearup Challenge Race Formats

Three Finals

(NJMP 4/29/2012- OVRP 8/18/2012)

One 15 Minute qualifying:  Three 12 lap feature races each race counts equal points. Winner of the days event will be decided by the most points accumulated throught all three races. Starting position for first race is decided by qualifying, starting position for second and third race are decided by finishing position of previous race. All three finishing positions are counted in year end points.


GP 2 Race (RP 5/26/2012)

One 15 Minute qualifying:  One twenty lap feature race starting order is determined by qualifying. One twenty lap feature race will earn full points . Following the feature race will be a ten lap sprint race.  The starting order of the ten lap sprint race will see the top six of the feature race inverted in the starting order. The sprint race will count for half the points awarded for the feature race. Overall winner will be decided from total points earned. Both results will count towards year end result.

 

Euro Sprint Race (MMC 7/1/2012)

One 15 Minute qualifying:  Ten lap heat race starting order is determined by qualifying. Twenty minute feature race order will be determined by the finishing order of the 10 lap heat race. The feature race will be a sprint race that will see the leader recieve a checkerd flag  one lap after twenty minutes of competition.

2012 F-Series Class Structure

FORMULA SPORTSMAN

Age 8 to 12 years Yamaha- 250 lbs / Comer K80- 235 lbs, Tires-MG HZ Red, Gas & oil only. Engines , exhaust and karts per WKA Tech manual. Rules may change throughout the year, following technical updates. Chest protector is mandatory.  

 

FORMULA  JR TAG (USA RULES)

Age 12 to 15 years – 320 lbs, Tires MG-HZ Red, Gas & oil only –Will be a restricted 125cc. Restrictions will be done by the exhaust header per 2011 TAG™ USA Tech Manual. TAG™ engines, exhaust, and karts per 2011 TAG™ USA Tech Manual. Rules may change throughout the year, following technical updates. Sit-up style seat only, 14” minimum height cannot pass rear axle. Engine clutch only Minimum overall rear tire width of 45”. Chest protector is mandatory.

 

FORMULA 100

Age 15 and up - 360 lbs, Yamaha KT 100 S, Tires MG-HZ Red, Gas & oil only. Engines , exhaust and karts per WKA Tech manual. Rules may change throughout the year, following technical updates.

 

FORMULA 125

Age 15 and up - 380 lbs - Iame Parilla Leopard, Tires MG-FZ Yellow, Gas & oil only engines , exhaust and karts per WKA Tech manual. Rules may change throughout the year, following technical updates. Any CIK approved airbox will be allowed for use.

 

FORMULA 355

Age 15 and up - 352 lbs - Iame Parilla Leopard, Tires MG-FZ Yellow, Gas & oil only engines , exhaust and karts per WKA Tech manual. Rules may change throughout the year, following technical updates. Any CIK approved airbox will be allowed for use.

2012 F-Series Prizes

Orbitz Travel & Gearup Corp. have joined forces to deliver an awesome prize package to all 2012 season champions. The prize will include two round trip tickets to Las Vegas to the 2012 SKUSA Supernationals including three nights of hotel. To clarify the classes included Formula 355, F-125, F100, F-Junior, Formula-Sportsman.


MG of Brazil will highlight their support to the series with two full sets of tires as a raffle giveaway to each event for the entire season.


Contemporary Mercedes-Benz & All Season Mechanical host a very generous brunch for all the racers at select events throughout the season. NJMP 4/29/2012 confirmed.


Gearup Corp. has decided it will continue with the very generous tradition to distribute very trendy shirt's and class decals at each event. Limited supply.


Karting Connect will again contribute their services to provide racers and participants to stay in touch with results and live timing throughout the events.
